Housing for International Students
Update: Fall exchange student and still looking for a place to stay? We have an apartment reserved for you! Look here for more information and fill out the application form!
First things first: student housing in the Netherlands is not arranged for you by the university; it is your own responsibility.
We know this can be a surprise and a struggle for some of you. There are reserved spots for about 25% of our yearly incoming internationals. Note: For the first semester of the academic year 2019/2020 nearly all EUR-reserved accommodation is rented out! You are now encouraged to arrange housing directly with landlords via the private market. To help you get started, we organized a webinar on the Rotterdam Housing Market that you can review online.
If you have not arranged residence yet, we strongly advise you to start looking for accommodation as soon as possible to avoid stress and disappointment.
While Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) isn't able to assist all students in finding a house, we do want to help you in the best way possible by offering you multiple tips and tricks. You can read up on the housing market on our website, or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for help and advice. To get you started, please check out this short video: Arriving in Rotterdam: How to find housing? that provides a preview to your search trajectory ahead.
