Master

Campus Woudestein

Congratulations, you are (conditionally) admitted to one of our Master programmes! Make sure to have a good look at the checklist and practical information below and complete your enrolment before September 1.

Checklist: Conditionally admitted

Immediately after registration possible.

You have received a separate e-mail for this immediately after your registration with an upload link (check your spam box if necessary). Can't find this email? Upload your passport photo in Osiris student or send an email to Team Enrolment, Deregistration and Funding via edf.es@eur.nl with your full name and student number, and add your passport photo as an attachment.

Have you received a conditional offer? Make sure to read the conditions carefully and present proof thereof before or on August 15.

Please note that you can only complete your enrolment after we have received all the proof and requested documents by email (master@essb.eur.nl). In the meantime, your enrolment will be pending.

Sending required documents

Do you have to send required documents? You can read how to do this via the link below.
Which documents do I send and where to?

Please note: To prevent messages about your registration from ending up in your junk email (spam) folder, we recommend that you add Erasmus University Rotterdam to your address book or list of trusted senders.

The payment method can be entered via Studielink. As soon as this is possible, you will receive a message from Studielink. Do you not see this option in your to-do list in Studielink? Then contact the Erasmus Student Service Centre (ESSC) on +31 10 408 2323 and make sure you have your student number at hand.

Consult the Tuition fees webpage if you have other questions about the implementation of the payment method or the tuition fees.

Your data is forwarded to the Immigration Desk around the time of your admission (from April onwards) and they will contact you if immigration is applicable in your case. Please correspond with them directly regarding immigration issues. Please do inform us when you do not hear from them 2,5 months before the beginning of your studies. If you already have a residence permit, please contact the Immigration Desk directly asking them if you need to do anything about immigration.

You must be fully enrolled to start your studies. You can check the status of your application via Osiris. You can log in to Osiris with your ERNA details (you receive these by email immediately after registration). Has the status in Studielink changed to ‘registered’? Congratulations, you have gone through all the steps of the applications process.

You are NOT enrolled in case your status in Studielink has not changed from 'Application Submitted' to 'Enrolled'.

Enrolment should be completed before or on August 31. Check your status regularly and the detail page of your enrolment application in Studielink and keep watch for any announcements of EUR.

Programme specific information

It is very fruitful to familiarize yourself with the content of the programme before the academic year. Below you can have a look at the recommended reading list and suggestions for the programme you are admitted to.

Practical matters

In the Netherlands (also known as Holland), higher education is subsidised, which means that tuition fees can be kept relatively low, especially compared to the United Kingdom and the United States. Because of this, we do not have an extensive scholarship programme. This does not mean we do not have them at all though, so make sure to take a look.

More information about the start of the academic year, preparation, introduction, timetable, etc. will follow in the welcome message (from August) after you have fully registered.

  • Please find the Academic calendar here.

Within two weeks after the status of your enrolment in Studielink has changed to "enrolled", you will receive a digital student card and you can download a proof of enrolment.

The timetable for the upcoming academic year will be available around mid-August. In the meantime, you can visit the EUR Course Guide to find more information about the courses in your study programme and have a look the timetable of the current academic year. Keep in mind that this might be different next year.

All compulsory literature can be found in the course description.

On MyEUR ESSB you will find all the information you need if you are fully enrolled as a student and are about to start your studies.

For example, the following information can be found on MyEUR ESSB:

  • BSA (binding study advice)
  • Compensation scheme
  • Resits
  • Register for exams
  • Rules and Regulations

The letter of admission you receive from us is valid for one year, except for a master in Psychology. In case you wish to start our master programme one year later, we will be happy to postpone your admission – but only once. You only need to re-apply next academic year and add the scan of the offer of admission you received (the email with the offer of admission).

If you decide to re-apply for another year, we can assure you, that you won't be competing with other applicants. You have already been admitted to our programme, therefore admission will be granted to you again if you decide to re-apply.

The above mentioned is not applicable for a master programme in Psychology.

Towards the start of the academic year we will create WhatsApp-groups for future students of your programme. You will receive a message via mail (depending on when your application was submitted) with a link, which you can use to add yourself to the group. This way you can already get to know your fellow students and you can help each other with any questions you might have.

Please note: there is a maximum number of members for each group, so please add yourself in time!
