On 6 February 2016, Alumnus Martijn Wagner, Navigator of the Chariot with Ijsbrand Chardon, won the World Championship Chariot Racing at the FEI World Cup Final in Bordeaux.
Our alumnus, Martijn Wagner, is the navigator in the most successful Chariot Racing Team: 4 time winner of the World Championship outdoor and 3 time winner indoor. Next to that he has won the Dutch Championship over 25 times. In his own words, ‘I’ve lost count’. And finally he won the European Championship two times, even though it is not organized often.
Reflecting on the past 20 years of his career, Martijn believes that this experience has had a big influence on his career after studying at our school. It taught him about teamwork, winner’s mentality, and being driven and focused to achieve his full potential.
