Jonathan Mijs is an EU Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow at Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Prior to his fellowship, Jonathan held appointments as Lecturer on Sociology at Harvard University (2019-2020) and Assistant Professorial Research Fellow at the International Inequalities Institute, London School of Economics (2017-2019). He earned his PhD in Sociology from Harvard University in 2017.

His UnEquality project investigates how people across the Atlantic make sense of inequality, and how their beliefs in turn fuel feelings of sympathy and solidarity with fellow citizens, inform their policy attitudes and motivate their political behavior.
